Presentations, Workshops

& Masterclasses

These are a cornerstone of the work I love putting into the world!

Are you :

An organization?

A private voice teacher?

Voice Teacher at a University?

Organizer in a YAP?

Helping Musical Theatre performers thrive?

Looking to help your employees gain confidence in their presentations?

A presentation, masterclass, or workshop might be just the right fit for your needs!

They are great for a taking a quick look at mindfulness and singing or taking a deep dive with singers and coaches to get into the nitty gritty of the work while in community with others.

They are powerful!

So powerful, they get their own booking process.

  1. Use this button to schedule a 15-minute complimentary call to get you started and get some creativity flowing.

2. Once you’re ready to dive in, you’ll make an appointment for a 60-minute call. You’ll tell me everything you want me to know and I’ll ask you all kinds questions to clarify what you’re looking for and how I can help. The call is $75, the cost of which will go towards the final engagement.

3. I’ll put together a proposal for you and we will schedule another time to go through the details and make sure it’s doing what you want - we will revise it until it’s right!

    Presentations and Workshops

These hold a special place in my professional practice.

They allow me to work with singers, performers, teachers and coaches incorporate Mindfulness Awareness Practices into their own studios and singing.

My presentations are quite different from many traditional presentations and webinars.

    No, really.

I’m a trained educator with tons of experience teaching humans of all ages,

    AND

I’m a human who yawns through almost any “Death by Powerpoint” - not matter how interested I am in the topic.

So my presentations are always interactive and engaging, filled with time to practice strategies and experiment with ideas.  I love questions and discussions and playtime!

Workshops are like big presentations with additional time to dive deeply into concepts and questions:

    Time for collaboration with colleagues

Time to get your hands dirty and engage in the material

Time to explore what might be particularly helpful for YOU and your own ARTISTRY

    Both presentations and workshops are designed and developed for you and your group;

Never simply a replica of what worked before

Remember: I’m an educator.  Tailoring our teaching to the group is what we do.

Some examples of Presentation & Workshop Topics are:

**Let these help start your creativity flowing! What do YOU want to explore??

    — Quieting the Disruptive Chatter while Singing

    — Using Mindfulness Awareness Practices and techniques intentionally

to focus on what you are DOING and your intentions

    — Incorporating Mindfulness into Your Daily Singing Routine

Why would you want to and  How??

    — Navigating Performance and Audition Anxiety

So many juicy topics to explore and work through using mindfulness strategies

Start working on this in your daily practice, not JUST at the audition - you don’t have to wait!

    — What IS mindfulness and how does it relate to singing?

General tenants and concepts of the practice

Some practices you can start right now - small and actionable steps

    Social Emotional Learning & Mindfulness

Strategies to employ in your practice or studio to help develop social emotional competencies:

    Self-Awareness

    Self-Management

    Responsible Decision-Making

    Relationship Skills

    Social Awareness

  • Masterclasses

I call it a masterclass….but it’s really is so much more than that.

Sure, your singers still get all the benefits of watching their peers work and have breakthroughs they can relate to their own work.

And you get to see another person work with your singers - often saying the same things you’ve said to them, but in a different way (your thoughts are reinforced!) or learning a different way to approach an issue.

But my classes are conducted through a carefully crafted and studied structure that focuses on mindfulness and whole group participation, even when observing.

And it’s driven by what the participants want to work on, not what I see first or think I can solve with a quick fix.

Each session is usually between 90 minutes and 3 hours.

Or we can schedule multiple sessions over a period of time.

Classes can take place in-person or online.  For multiple sessions, you might find it useful to have the first one in person and follow-up sessions online.

The structure of a class looks something like:

    1. Centering Activity

    2. Group-building reflection

To help us all start to get more comfortable being vulnerable and connect to one another so we can take more risks

    3. Discussion of mindfulness and feedback guidelines

    4. Singing and group work: the bulk of the class; it includes reflection time from both singing and observing participants.

Including identifying what students are looking to work on

    5. Discussion and Q & A

Woven throughout the class and given a dedicated time at the end

It’s totally great to have people ask “why are you doing this?” or “Do you think this would also work?” Or “This didn’t work for me.  Can you explain what you think might?”

    6. Closure

A time to reflect and wrap up our work so you can take it out into the world

    * We focus on applying mindfulness skills and practices into performance.

    * We work on technique skills from a mindfulness perspective.

    * We practice mental and mindful skills throughout the class.

AND, after the class, I offer participants a month where they can reach out with any questions they might have or clarifications they might want.  We can meet by phone, video call, or email.

To you, the organizer, we will have a follow-up call for you, too, so you can get any of YOUR questions or thoughts answered about our time together.

  • I felt that this was a very healthy experience. This class did something for me specifically in my way of life. I'm very grateful to have learned this. For experiencing this kind of shift in perspective, I could live a more peaceful life.

    Workshop Participant

  • it was totally unlike anything I've ever done before on this medium. And Lindsey, I just think that you so beautifully and wonderfully led every class and really created this community

    Workshop Participant

  • For the first time, in my life (truly) I was able to sing for the committee with my full self in the room. The director was excited and wanted to hear more
